Dedication and passion from our students forms a positive sense of self-reliance in demanding physical situations. This class provides a great range of experiences in which children learn to confidently perform stunts and fly through the air effortlessly!

Hip Hop
Hip Hop is one of the most popular styles of dance! Hip hop is both a music genre and a cultural movement developed in NYC in the 70s; since then hip hop has grown to encompass an entire lifestyle that consistently incorporates diverse elements of ethnicity, technology, art and urban life that is ever growing! We use age appropriate hip hop and R & B music, to ensure a family value is in all classes. Students learn the latest moves while developing coordination and musicality, all while having fun and grooving!

Jazz
Jazz pushes the student to connect briskly to music and movement. Jazz encompasses many styles including traditional jazz, contemporary movement and funk. Jazz is suitable for all ages and levels. Jazz pulls from many traditional styles such as ballet and hip hop and fuses those styles into a new flare. In this class students will increase their flexibility while working to master kicks, tricks, multiple turn combinations and a wide range of leaps.

Lyrical
Lyrical for many teachers and dancers is an ideal vehicle for expressing emotions through movement. It is a combination of intricate, highly technical, and naturalistic moves and storytelling. Lyrical is named after it's balletic movement put to the lyrics of non-traditional ballet music. Depending on the given song and choreography, a lyrical piece may or may not be graceful, but will always be expressive and unpredictable, particularly in comparison to ballet and other jazz pieces which may have a more presentational quality. Lyrical is based around the interpretation of the music and routines are based around feeling the movement deeply and expressing the dancers emotion. Lyrical is a great way for your child to develop their own sense of character and work on expressing themselves in their own way!

Musical Theater
Musical Theatre focuses on learning proper dance technique while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with Broadway style jazz movement and sometimes character heel techniques. Classes include a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations to work on character development and to build confidence. Emphasis will also be placed on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and facial expressions. Musical Theater classes are great for growing your sassy dancer!
Contemporary
Contemporary class covers a combination of modern and contemporary techniques. Students will learn how to release into the floor, while pushing against it for stability, learning how to use their bodies in a strong and table fashion. They will play with inversions, work on head-to-tail connectivity, and increase strength and flexibility. Throughout the entire class, students will be working on full body awareness. The curriculum for this class allows beginners to start where they are and returning students to build upon their existing training. Consistency is key to advancement and this class offers a great environment for students to grow and push themselves!
